We need leaders who are willing to admit when they don’t know, and who are willing to stand by a judgment that looks terrible on a chart but feels right in their hands. Because if every decision is purely data-driven, then nobody is driving at all. We are simply being steered by the collective aggregation of past anxieties.
The real question is not what metric we should track next.
